If the world wasn't becoming as bizarre as it already is, here's a man who spends almost 1.5K Euros in an attempt to live longer. Leon Kurita-Goudlock, 36, an American-based London resident is practicing something called'body biohacking',a process where one upgrades a body just like upgrading an iPhone or a tech gadget. It seems this man is obsessed with a longer life, so much so, that he's willing to freeze himself if need be.
Leon, born in the US, who now stays in London said,"I would like to live forever. My mum died when she was 70 of cancer and my dad died of cardiovascular issues when he was 86 this year. The last 20 years of their lives were complete misery, they were taking care of each other, they both had cancer and other diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, heart attacks and could barely walk. At that point, why are you alive? There is nothing sadder than carrying your own parents up the stairs and giving them sponge baths.'
Leon, who takes around 60 pills a day says there are five stages to biohacking starting with fairly normal fitness to rigorous level 5 fasting which involves biological altercations. He says the final stage of biohacking is the future and he is excited about how that might look like.'We're not there yet but we expect it to be between 2040 and 2050,'he said.
