Sufi-electronica mother-son duo Kavita Seth and Kanishk Seth surely have a lot of reasons to be beaming from ear-to-ear. Their lockdown release in 2020, 'Rangi Saari' which received immense love and adulation has been brought back to music streaming platforms after it was tentatively removed, following a proposed film integration. Their latest release 'Ki Jaana' is picking up momentum and finding its fanbase. But most importantly, Kanishk's graduation with a master's degree in Music Production, Technology and Innovation accompanied by the Outstanding Scholar Award from the Valencia campus of Berklee College of Music, is an unparalleled reason for the Seth household to be thrilled.
When asked to express her thoughts over her son's graduation, Senior Seth is ecstatic. In a recent interaction for Radio City Indie Exchange, the Sufi songstress exclaimed, 'I feel very happy that Kanishk had a dream and he worked towards achieving it, despite this lockdown period. In a way, it's good that instead of sitting here at home, he went to Valencia and utilized his time in learning and acquiring better knowledge about music, which I'm sure would make him more confident as a musician. I happened to listen to some of the nicest things his professors had to say about him and it left me overwhelmed. I couldn't help but cry with joy'.
The duo recently released 'Ki Jaana', based on the works of Baba Bullehshah which aims at infusing hope and love for the larger powers that run the world.
The song is now playing on Radio City Freedom. You can also hear it on your preferred music portal.
