He's well-known in the Indie hip-hop scene for his raw talent and tackles a lot of social themes that he has encountered growing up in Mumbai.We catch-up with this talented young rising star - a genius wordsmith who39s rhymes feel like straight up poetry.Here are the excerpts...Q. What makes your band different from the rest?I speak for the people from the streets. My motive is to inspire them and motivate them to do better and grow in life.Q. Pros and Cons of being an Independent musicianYou get more time to explore your own capabilities and creativity. I don't think there are any cons. If you are a good indie artist with a strong base and faithful to what you do, you will have a good life no matter what!Q. It is said that the indie scene has become an industry. Do you agree with that?It always was. Anything that is urban and organized, steadily does transform into an industry module. Its always good to have a parallel scene.Q. How important are awards for an indie artist? It's an amazing feeling when you win. Appreciation for your music is always accepted whole heartedly.Q. What is the best gig you've had so far, and why was it so memorable?The gig I recentely did at Blue Frog. It was the most fun I had on stage because people who came out knew the words to the song and there39s no better feeling when people sing along with you.Q. What are your favorite venues in Mumbai?Bluefrog for the way it has revolutionized the whole indie live scene and its in-house set up. Also, Mehboob studios for its rich history associated with it.Q. What do you think about Radio City Freedom as a web radio channel?A great initiative and a good platform for all independent artist across all genres.Q.
