22 Years of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham: Kajol Gets Nostalgic, Pens a Heartfelt Note

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham turned 22 today. Releasing back in 2001, the Karan Johar directorial had a cast filled with stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Jaya Bachchan. Right after its release, the film became a hit among audiences who liked its family-oriented storyline and the way the drama unfolded.
Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham was also well-known for the memorable characters that Karan wrote and executed beautifully. Right from Kareena Kapoor's 'Pooh' to Hrithik Roshan's Rohan, an entire generation grew up on these characters and their instances.
When Karan Johar collapsed on the set of K3G
Kajol took to Instagram to share some inside memories from the shoot of the multi-starrer blockbuster as it completed 22 years. She shared a small video with snippets of her character and the striking chemistry she shared with Shah Rukh Khan for the film.
In the caption, she wrote, "22 years to #k3g. Another acronym, but yes, another long-lasting memory!!! Yash uncle actually renovated and made new makeup rooms in Filmistan Studios permanently just for the shooting of this film because even with the vanity vans, it was not going to be enough for this gigantic starrer."

Further, Kajol revealed how Karan Johar collapsed one day on the shoot. She wrote, "@karanjohar collapsed and fainted on set because of dehydration in the first few days. It was really, really hot!"

Further, she added, "And this was @___aryan___'s debut on screen! It was also, I think, my first comeback (not sure about this part, though too many comebacks ago) and the first and only time I stood in front of the pyramids and truly felt them with my soul. So yes, this was a truly huge film in every way, in life and cinema."
Aryan Khan played the role of a child in the film.
Even Karan Johar shared a video on this occasion and wrote, "My annual reminder of 'It's all about loving your family." and my audience, who have kept the spirit of #K3G alive even 22 years later. Eternally grateful to the magnificent and magnanimous castmdashAmit Ji, Jaya Ji, Shahrukh Bhai, Kajol, Diggu, and Bebomdashand all other special people in the cast and crew for just making this journey the most memorable one! Thank you today and always."
It is 22 years of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham but the film still continues to mesmerize a new age of fans who are discovering it and finding joy in its extravagent appeal.
