August 15, 1992, was the day when Bollywood music saw a revolutionizing shift right after Allah Rakha Rahman created magic with his music in Roja and Bombay. Roja's music, especially Bharat Humko still gives us goosebumps. This was just the beginning for Rahman. What truly changed Bollywood music was Rangeela. Ever since the movie was released, the musician was showered with Golden Globes, Oscars, Grammys, and BAFTA awards.

Apart from his Bollywood accomplishments, do you know AR Rahman has also composed and created some iconic and exemplary ad jingles too? Don't believe us? As the music maestro celebrates his 56th birthday, let's take you through some of them.

1. AR Rahman Jingles - Airtel

Airtel, India's first cellular network operator's ad was released in 2022, and full marks for guessing who was the mastermind behind composing the music for the same. Rahman took an ad jingle and turned it into every household's voice. Even today, it remains to be one of the most recognizable music. Airtel has had some great ad ideations too, but this one is where it all started.

2. AR Rahman Jingles - Hero

Who doesn't remember "Hum Mein Hai Hero!" If you sang it while reading this, we already like you. Highlighting everyday heroes and beyond, Ar Rahman turned a bike ad into an emotion, yet again creating a masterpiece in form of a jingle.

3. AR Rahman Jingles - Asian Paints

Bringing the family together and showcasing the true essence of Pongal through music is a brief only Rahman can understand and execute. Showcasing the Indian cultures and traditions, the music maestro created a tune that every household would celebrate.

4. AR Rahman Jingles - Titan

While creating this ad jingle, little did Rahman know that by using Mozart's 25th symphony, he will be creating a legendary tune for a brand like Titan. Every time this tune goes on, we automatically resonate with the brand. And this is what we call converting music into memory. Aishwarya Rai, who was known as the Pepsi girl back then, was featured in the ad.

5. AR Rahman Jingles - Renault

The Re Re Re Raftar created was Renault was simple yet catchy. Featuring Ranbir Kapoor in the ad, Rahman took the simple notes a notch above to create something different and noticeable for car lovers. Now, this is what we call the Rahman touch.

Radio City wishes Allah Rakha Rahman a very happy birthday.
