5 Inspirational Dialogues From Mr. and Mrs. Mahi to Motivate You on a Bad Day

Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's Mr. and Mrs. Mahi has been the talk of the town since its trailer was released. The upcoming film will reunite the two actors after their 2021 horror comedy, Roohi. Mr. and Mrs. Mahi is a sports drama that revolves around Mahima and Mahinder's love story.

It all starts when the two get married in an arranged marriage, and later Rajkummar Rao goes on to become Janhvi Kapoor's biggest cheerleader. In wake of the film's release on May 31, let's take a look at some of its most powerful dialogue from the movie trailer.


'Mere liye naa, cricket is life, and life is cricket.'

Rajkummar Rao's character Mahinder says this dialogue when he and his wife, played by Janvhi Kapoor, are getting to know each other. They are in the initial days of their marriage and starting to learn about each other's likes and dislikes.

In a surprising turn of events, they discover that both of them harbour a passion for one thing: cricket. Which is when Rajkummar Rao says that for him, cricket is life and life is cricket.

'Tum maarti nahi ho todti ho Mahi.'

This dialogue is said by Mahinder when he sees his wife playing cricket for the first time. Mahi is smashing the game in her favour, and Mahinder is pleasantly surprised by watching his wife's hidden talent. Which is when he says, 'You don't just play you beat (the rival team).'


'Tumhe pata tum doctor kyun bani Mahi? Kyunki tumhare papa chahte the. Tum kya banna chahti ho Mahi?'

As the movie progresses, Mahinder tries to ignite the same passion for cricket that he has in himself and in his wife as well. He has found his wife's hidden talent and wants her to pursue her passions and see her succeed.

But that doesn't come for free. Mahima may have to switch jobs completely as a doctor if she wants to focus on becoming a cricketer. Which is when Mahinder tries to make her understand why she would succeed if she followed her passion. He says, 'Do you know why you became a doctor, Mahi? Because your father wanted you to. What is it that you want to become?'

'Mujhe bahut bharosa hai tumhare talent pe.'

Although Mahima switches jobs to focus on her passion, there are many times when she questions her decisions and abilities. That's when Mahiner tries to lift her spirits by saying, 'I wholeheartedly believe in your talent.'

'Agar cricket woh cheez hain naa, Mahi, jisse tumhe sabse jyada khushi milti hain, toh tum bani ho cricket ke liye.'

Seeing his wife succeed, Mahinder feels very good about his decision to convince Mahima to follow her passion. He explains that if you gain happiness from something, it means you're made for it. In this dialogue with Mahima, Mahinder says, 'If cricket is what gives you the utmost happiness, then you're made for it."
