This year the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) was hosted in Abu Dhabi's Yas Island. Salman Khan, Maniesh Paul, and Riteish Deshmukh hosted the IIFA 2022 Awards. Shershaah, starring Sidharth Malhotra, dominated the awards season this year, winning five different categories. Sardar Udham, Mimi, and Ludo each took two awards home.

Many celebrities such as Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, Salman Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Nora Fatehi, Nargis Fakhri, Pankaj Tripathi with wife Mridula, Fardeen Khan with daughter Diani, Lara Dutta, Bobby Deol and Tiger Shroff walked on red carpet.
