Aamir Khan Left Heartbroken After Laal Singh Chaddha Box Office Failure, Steps Away From Movies

Aamir Khan has decided to step away from the big screen and take an indefinite break from films. This decision comes post the miserable failure of Laal Singh Chaddha. An attemot to remake the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, the Bollywood version of it starred Aamir alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mona Singh. The movie became an easy target of 'Boycott Bollywood' trend, thereby becoming the worst release of both actors.
Amid Aamir Khan planning to take a break from Bollywood movies, reports say that his next project Mogul has also been shelved. A biopic on Gulshan Kumar was supposed to be helmed by Subhash Kapoor with the actor in the lead.
According to a source, "Aamir Khan was supposed to start working on Mogul after finishing work on Laal Singh Chaddha, however, now the T- Series chief producer of the film has shelved the project indefinitely. The reports further claim that the halt on Mogul is in the wake of Laal Singh Chaddha's failure at the box office and right now the makers aren't in favour to put the money on the film."
If reports were to be believed, Akshay Kumar was the first choice for Mogul. However, he decided to quit and that's when the makers approached Aamir Khan, who instantly was on board for the now shelved movie. Director Subhash Kapoor has gone back to making his rather successful franchise Jolly LLB 3.
After Laal Singh Chaddha, upcoming movies like Dobaaraa, Brahmastra, and Vikram Vedha are next on the boycott list. The hashtag 'Boycoot Bollywood' has been trending like wildfire on Twitter.
Aamir Khan fans, what's your take on the actor taking an indefinite break from Bollywood?
