Aamir Khan Rescued From Chennai Floods After Being For 24 Hours Without Water And Power, See Pics

With the weather being uncertain in different parts of India, Chennai is one of the cities that's been affected the worst after it was hit with constant rainfall and heavy floods. Its inadequate drainage system, low-lying topography, and rapid urbanization make the floods all the more difficult. Amidst this intense situation, Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was stuck in the city for over 24 hours.

The 3 Idiots actor was rescued from the flood-like situation in Chennai with the help of rescue officers. He, along with Tamil actor Vishnu Vishal, his wife Jwala Gutta, and other locals, were seen seated in a rescue boat.

The two actors even posed for a few pictures after they were rescued and taken to a safe place to rest. Reportedly, Aamir was staying with Vishnu at his Chennai residence.

The Bollywood actor relocated himself to the city a few months ago to be with his mother, who is undergoing treatment here. He was stuck in the ruthless Chennai floods without electricity, water, and a weak signal due to waterlogging.

Vishnu Vishal took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared some snippets while being rescued. He wrote, 'Thanks to the fire and rescue department for helping people like us who are stranded. Rescue operations have started in Karapakkam. I saw three boats functioning already. Great work by the TN government in such testing times. Thanks to all the administrative people who are working relentlessly.'


The Tamil actor also mentioned how the floods have affected him and revealed that water has already entered his house. He shared some more devastating pictures.

His tweet further read, 'Water is entering my house, and the level is rising badly in Karapakkam. I have called for help. No electricity, no wifi, no phone signal -nothing. Only on the terrace at a particular point do I get some signal. Let's hope I and so many others here get some help. I can feel for people all over Chennai.'

For the uninitiated, Tropical Cyclone Michaung wreaked havoc upon several cities and districts in Tamil Nadu, including Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Thiruvallur.

Many low-lying areas are submerged in downpour, and people are suffering without enough drinking water, no electricity, and a weak phone signal.

Amidst the dreadful situation, Tamil actors Karthi and Suriya have announced an initial donation of Rs 10 lakhs that will go in any form of relief aid to the people affected by floods.
