I really didn't expect that, and Sanjay sir did say, 'Ye chaal bahut important hai (This walk is very important).' He has so much knowledge, so he was very much involved in the making of the song.'

She also mentioned how Sanjay Leela Bhansali was intricately and actively a part of every little movement, including the movement of the dupatta, which should match the rhythm of her steps.

'Kruti Mahesh was there choreographing, but he was completely involved in every detail of the choreography, and he was very particular about this walk and how it should happen: how will the dupatta fall, how will the waist move, exactly when will the 'chan' sound be heard... It was quite incredible,' the actress added.

What is the Gaja Gamini walk?

Adiit Rao Hydari's viral Gaja Gamini walk from Heeramandi has somehow paved its way through pop culture as Gen Zs and millennials continue to gush around it.

The actress, who plays the role of Bibbijaan, eloquently danced to the tunes of 'Saiyaan Hatto Jao.' In the same way, she took a moment and performed the infamous Gaja Gamini walk, which is now popularly called the'swan walk.'

According to Kamasutra, elephants are considered to have 'unrestrained raw sexual power." A female elephant, or hastini, is a symbol of lust, as she can draw male elephants to her effortlessly.

The Gaja Gamini walk also finds a mention in the Hindu mythology saga, Mahabharat. Queens like Draupadi, who were volumnious yet graceful, were metaphorically compared with the grace of a female elephant and swans.

Before the Heeramandi actress, it was Madhubala and Madhuri Dixit who showcased the elegant walk on celluloid.
