Speak of an unconventional debut and you cannot miss out on Bhumi Pednekar in Dum Laga Ke Haisha. This was her big Bollywood break for which she gained over 20 kilos. Aditya believes in actors getting into the skin of their characters and Bhumi literally did that.

3. Ranveer Singh - Band Baaja Baarat


Who knew the actor's power-packed potential when we saw him in Band Baaja Baarat? Ranveer Singh was one of the most promising debutants in Bollywood who went on to do several films with Aditya Chopra. The two have given us some massive entertainers like Befikre, Gunday, Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl, and more. The actor considers the filmmaker to be his mentor.

4. Anushka Sharma - Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi


To have a romantic Yash Raj Film as your debut is one thing and to have Shah Rukh Khan as your co-actor is a whole 'dream come true' moment. This was exactly what Aditya Chopra had planned for Anushka Sharma. Somehow, the filmmaker can realize the actor's potential and squeeze the best out of them. The newly-engaged actress made her spectacular Bollywood debut with Aditya Chopra's Ishaqzaade and it still remains one of her finest performances. Here's a fun fact - Parineeti was working as a public relations consultant for YRF before she made her big Bollywood debut.
