After Shah Rukh Khan And Salman Khan, Vikrant Massey Receives Death Threats

With Bollywood stars constantly being under the radar of menacing gangsters and surrounded by death threats, another actor joins Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan on the threats list. This time, it is Vikrant Massey.

The actor who will next be seen in Ektaa Kapoor's The Sabarmati Report, a film about the aftermath of the controversial 2002 Godhra train incident, has been receiving death threats on social media.

In the film, Vikrant Massey will be playing the role of a struggling journalist who is on a mission to show the raw and real side of the brutal story. The film promises a gripping narrative to show untold and critical chapters of recent history.

During the trailer launch of The Sabarmati Report, the 12th Fail actor spoke his heart out on receiving death threats and also revealed how he reacted to the same.

After Salman Khan receiving threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Shah Rukh Khan also being under his radar, fans are all the more concerned about Massey's safety.

"I have been getting threats. However, I'm not looking to draw attention to it. It's something I'm handling, and as a team, we are collectively addressing it," Vikrant said, adding he's not letting these bluffs hamper him and is currently focusing on work.



He further continued, "We are artists, and our job is to tell stories. This film is grounded in facts. Unfortunately, you haven't seen the film yet, so it's important not to jump to conclusions that it focuses on just one side of the story."

Vikrant Massey on working with Ektaa Kapoor

When asked at the event about why he chose to be a part of the film, and this time, it was the producer Ektaa Kapoor who chose to answer. She was even asked if the film could feul communal tensions.

Answering the first question about the Haseen Dillruba actor, she said, "This isn't just one facet it's the first facet. We are focusing on the genesis of this particular aspect without disregarding the others. Unfortunately, this key elementmdashhow it all beganmdashhasn't been covered enough in mainstream narratives."

Further opening about if the film is totally leaning towards one cast, then producer said, "I am a Hindu, but being a Hindu means you are secular. I will never make a statement about any religion because I am a Hindu, and I deeply respect all religions."

Also starring Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna, The Sabarmati Report will release on November 15 in cinemas near you.
