India is currently struggling after what happened in Manipur. For the uninitiated, two women were paraded naked on the streets of Manipur when a video of the same was doing the rounds on the internet. The video showed two women from a tribal community called Kuki-Zomi stripped naked and being dragged into fields, where they were brutally gang-raped.

This horrific incident happened two months ago in Manipur. Several exasperated Indians are questioning why no action was taken against the violence against tribal women. Many celebrities took to social media and expressed their anger at the soul-shivering incident.

1. Kiara Advani

The horrific video has shaken the Satyaprem Ki Katha actress to the core. Taking it to Twitter, Kiara Advani wrote, 'The video of violence against women in Manipur is horrifying and has shaken me to the core. I pray the women get justice at the earliest possible time. Those responsible must face the most SEVERE punishment they deserve."

2. Akshay Kumar

The Housefull actor hopes the perpetrators are punished in such a way that nobody else thinks of repeating this dreadful act. Akshay Kumar's tweet read, 'Shaken and disgusted to see the video of violence against women in Manipur. I hope the culprits get such a harsh punishment that no one ever thinks of doing a horrifying thing like this again.'

3. Priyanka Chopra

Taking it to her Instagram stories, the Citadel actress wrote, "It took a video going viral. 77 days after the heinous crimes were committed, action was taken."

Priyanka further added, "Rationale? Reasons? None matter - irrespective of what and why, situational or circumstantial, we cannot allow women to be pawns in any game. The collective shame and anger need to be channeled now in a unified voice for just one thing: swift justice."

The new Roadies host is known to be socially committed to women's empowerment. The Manipur tragedy made him question humanity. Sonu Sood took to Twitter and wrote, "The Manipur video has shaken everyone's soul. It was humanity that was paraded, not the women.'

5. Ashutosh Rana

The Pathaan actor penned a long, heartfelt note on Twitter and stated some strong facts. Ashutosh wrote that history is a witness to the fact that when "any predator has abducted or sexually assaulted a woman, the entire human race has to pay the price for it.'

He also urged all the political parties to stop playing blame games and take immediate action to punish the predators.
