Bollywood couple Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are all set to ring their wedding bells soon in October. The duo started dating after their first movie Fukrey in 2015. They decided to get married in 2020 but due to the pandemic, their marriage got postponed. Now the couple will be tying knots in a big Indian wedding in October 1st week. Their pre and post-wedding rituals will take place in Delhi and Mumbai.
Recently their wedding invite is the talk of the town which was designed by Puneet Gupta. The invite looks like a movie poster that has 'Couple Matches' written on it. The invitation features Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal's sketches carrying traditional outfits on a cycle giving all retro looks.
A source gave all of us a sneak peek about the invitation and said, 'The actor duo got a friend to design their wedding save the date who custom sketched their faces into kitschy pop art design. The invite has a retro 90s feel made in the shape of a matchbox that reads - 'Couple Matches' with a quirky sketch of Richa in a traditional saree with a ghunghat whereas Ali's sketch is seen in suit-boot avatar as the two are seen riding a bicycle.'
Furthermore, designer Puneet Gupta said, 'The Save-the-date is about celebrating being an 80's kid and taking inspiration from Vintage Indian poster art. It is also kind of interesting to do a very different and quirky take on the couple along with a retro twist and a touch of Bollywood.'
According to the reports, the couple will be tying the knot in an intimate ceremony. The two will host a grand reception in Delhi on October 2 and this will also be followed in Mumbai on October 7. The couple has also planned a special party in Delhi post the wedding in mid-October at the Delhi Gymkhana Club.
