Alia Bhatt And Sharvari Wagh Starrer Alpha To Release On Christmas 2025

How many female-led Bollywood action movies have you seen as of yet? We bet you can barely count some on your fingers. However, Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh are all set to change the same as they come together for an action-packed entertainer titled Alpha.

A Yash Raj Films' project, the two leading ladies will share the screen for the first time together in the much-anticipated spy drama. Alpha will be a part of YRF's Spy Universe, which has also backed movies like Ek Tha Tiger, War, and Tiger Zinda Hai.

Now, the makers of the upcoming spy drama have unveiled the release date, leaving fans and moviegoers wanting for more.

Alia Bhatt-Sharvari's Alpha to release on Christmas 2025

The Jigra star will be seen headlining the intense action drama. She will be joined by the rising superstar Sharvari Wagh, who is just a couple of films old in the industry.


For the uninitiated, Sharvari made her glorious Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films' Buntu Aur Babli 2 alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi, Rani Mukerji, and Saif Ali Khan. The film was an average performer at the box office.

She went on to deliver exceptional performances in films like Munjya and the Netflix series Maharaj. The latter also marked Aami Khan's son, Junaid Khan's digital debut.

In Alpha, the two leading ladies will be seen essaying the role of super spy agents. The much-awaited addition to YRF's Spy Universe will be helmed by Shiv Rawail.

Sharvari Wagh on Alpha

Just a month earlier, it was reported that the Alpha team is headed to Kashmir for the second schedule of the adrenaline pumping entertainer. The film's shooting started on August 26.

When asked about this, the Munjya actress said, 'I can't wait to be on the sets of Alpha again, and I can't wait to shoot in Kashmir! I'm thrilled that it's going to be a very exciting schedule. The Alpha team will be meeting after some time, so we are all super ready to start the Kashmir sked!'


'I am as excited as a kid at a candy store when I am on a film set and on the sets of Alpha I'm like a ball of energy soaking everything and trying to learn and better myself. To get an opportunity like this so early in one's career is truly a blessing. I'm just humbled to be in such a franchise that has the megastars of our film industry in it,' Wagh added.

The next project for YRF's Spy Universe will be Hrithik Roshan's War 2. An Ayan Mukerji directorial, the film also stars Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR in key roles.
