Mumbai is abuzz with preparations for one of the most anticipated weddings of the year - the union of Anant Ambani, the younger son of billionaire Mukesh Ambani, and his longtime girlfriend Radhika Merchant. The wedding ceremony is set for July 12th, and the scale of the celebrations promises to be a true reflection of the Ambani family's stature.

To accommodate this impressive guest list, the Ambanis have reportedly chartered three Falcon-2000 jets, with speculation suggesting the use of over 100 private planes in total. "The guests are coming from all over, and each aircraft will make multiple trips across the country," confirmed Rajan Mehra, CEO of Club One Air, the company providing the chartered jets.

The wedding venue, Jio World Centre in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai's central business district, is undergoing a grand transformation. To ensure a smooth flow of events, traffic restrictions have been imposed near the venue from July 12th to 15th. The elaborate preparations are already causing a slowdown in traffic, hinting at the sheer scale of the upcoming festivities.

Pre-Wedding Festivities and Venue Transformation

The pre-wedding celebrations commenced on a heartwarming note on July 2nd. Staying true to their philanthropic legacy, Nita and Mukesh Ambani organised a mass wedding for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra's Palghar district. The celebrations for Anant and Radhika themselves began with a traditional Gujarati ceremony called the "Mameru," held at the Ambani residence on July 3rd.

The wedding venue, Jio World Centre, is being adorned with vibrant decorations. Dazzling lights and cascades of flowers are transforming the space into a breathtaking spectacle. The iconic Antilia, the Ambani residence, has also received a festive makeover, with decorative lights and flowers adorning the trees surrounding the 27-story mansion.

The celebrations will extend beyond the wedding ceremony. The couple will celebrate with their loved ones at the Shubh Aashirwad, a blessing ceremony, on July 13th. The festivities will culminate with the grand Mangal Utsav, the wedding reception, on July 14th.
