Animal Teaser: The Ranbir Kapoor Actioner Is An Intense Father-Son Story

The teaser of the much-awaited Sandeep Reddy Vanga film is here, and it is over two and a half minutes long. In a moment of delight for his fans, the teaser dropped right on the birthday of Ranbir Kapoor, who turned 41 today.

The teaser opens up in a grassy field, with Ranbir and Rashmika Mandanna taking a walk. She asks him if he has thought about having kids, and he looks at her after some thought, saying that he wants to be a father. In a moment of impulse, Rashmika asks him, "You won't be like your father, right?" This garners a long stare from him as he stops and looks at her. The music changes and becomes spooky as we intercut to a flashback where we meet Anil Kapoor. He is seen slapping a young Ranbir repeatedly as he just sits without moving a muscle. Back in present time, Ranbir raises a finger at Rashmika and exclaims, "My father is the best father."



Promising to be the story of a father-son bond carved in blood, the teaser gives hints of a bloody actioner with flawed characters. There are car chases, machine gun fires, and Ranbir Kapoor all bearded up walking with hundred armed men behind him. There are visible traits of Vanga's last release, Kabir Singh, with some similarities in the lead character however, Animal seems way more darker and sinister. Anil Kapoor plays the role of an abusive father and makes an intimidating appeal. It feels scary to even look at him. The teaser ends with Ranbir lying in a pool of blood with a bunch of other men in black suits as his voice over comes, which again teases for an intense revenge saga. In the last seconds, we see a shirtless Bobby Deol holding a knife and pointing it to the camera, inviting us into the room.

All eyes were rolled towards the film, ever since its first look came and subsequent posters were released. Now the teaser takes the excitement to the next level. Fans are surely going to enjoy seeing Ranbir Kapoor in this never-before-seen avatar donning that swag and mouthing dialogues in style.

The film is all set to release on December 1.
