The Asia Cup 2023 saw a rather interesting finale. What the cricket fans expected to be a nail-biting ODI match turned out to be Sri Lanka's worst performance against India. The Asia Cup 2023 finals saw India and Sri Lanka fight for the title. Sri Lanka lost all its wickets for a poor score of just 50 runs, thanks to Mohammed Siraj's exceptional bowling.


As India wrote history by lifting its eighth Asia Cup trophy, Sri Lanka showcased a rather disappointing performance. This time, even Indian celebrities couldn't stop themselves from appreciating the entire Indian cricket team, especially Mohammed Siraj.

Anushka Sharma, Mahesh Babu, SS Rajamouli, Vicky Kaushal, and more joined the celebration as Siraj was lauded for his sensational six wickets in just seven overs. These celebrities took to Twitter and lauded the fast bowler.

Taking it to Instagram, the Sultan actress congratulated the pacer for his incredible bowling spell. She shared a picture of Siraj and wrote, 'Kya Baat Hai Miyan! Magic!'

This is not the first time Anushka has been so involved in cricket. Ever since she married Virat Kohli, the actress has time and again cheered for Team India. During the India vs. Pakistan Asia Cup 2023 match, she took to her Instagram stories and lauded Virat and KL Rahul's centuries.

Taking it to X (formerly Twitter), the Baahubali filmmaker wrote, 'Siraj Miyan (Sir), our Tolichowki boy shines at the Asia Cup final with 6 wickets... And has a big heart, running to long-on to stop the boundary off his own bowling.'

The actor took to Twitter and wrote, 'Bowled over! Congratulations, Team India, on your sensational win in the Asia Cup 2023. Championship at its finest!'

Apart from these celebs, Vicky Kaushal and Sidharth Malhotra also hopped on the bandwagon and congratulated Siraj for his stunning bowling. Sharing Siraj's photo from the India vs. Sri Lanka match, Vicky wrote, 'On Fire! What a spell!'
