Atlee And Vijay Sethupathi To Reunite For A Thriller, To Go On Floors In 2025

One of the most iconic duos, Atlee and Vijay Sethupathi brought us one of the biggest entertainers, Jawan. The pan-Indian movie went on to become one of the highest-grossing films in the history of Indian cinema.

Now, after the 2023 release, the actor-filmmakers are all set to reunite for an exciting thriller project that will go on floors in 2025. This comes amid the ongoing buzz of Atlee's upcoming action drama Baby John, starring Varun Dhawan and Keerthy Suresh.

The director, along with producer Murad Khetani, announced the collaboration with Sethupathi, this time with a gripping story that promises to blend the actor's versatility with his stardom.

A source close to the development revealed some interesting information and said that the makers plan to have the yet-to-be-titled film go on floors by the first quarter of 2025. 'The film's subject is terrific, and everyone involved is excited to begin production. This thriller will do justice to Vijay Sethupathi's stature as both an actor and a star,' the source added.

Producer Khetani gave an affirmative nod to the project and said, 'There are several projects in the pipeline, but one film has been locked. Atlee sir and I are starting a Tamil film, which will go on floors very soon. We will share more details shortly.'

Adding to the excitement, Atlee shared his enthusiasm to be working with Vijay Sethupathi and mentioned, 'Yes, it's a film with Vijay Sethupathi, sir. It's a fantastic story that Murad sir and I have been working on for the past two years. This is the next banger from Cine1 and A For Apple.'

Atlee's upcoming action drama is all set to hit the theatres on Christmas, December 25. The film is a remake of the popular South Indian blockbuster Theri, which was headlined by Thalapathy Vijay.

The Varun Dhawan starrer is high on emotions, drama, thrill, kickass action, romance, and everything in between. The movie also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Jackie Shroff, and Keerthy Suresh in prominent roles.

Apart from the already stellar star cast, Baby John will have a special appearance by Salman Khan. Advance bookings for the film will open this weekend.
