Bedhadak: Shanaya Kapoor Debut Movie which also stars Lakshay, Gurfateh Pirzada lands in trouble

The dream to become B-town celeb of Shanaya Kapoor, the daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor, appears to be on hold for the time being as Karan Johar is said to have either shelved or put an indefinite postponement on her debut film Bedhadak. It is unknown if Bedhadak would experience the same fate as Dharma Productions' previously announced movies Takht and Dostana 2, while an official confirmation is still awaited.

Shanaya Kapoor's feature film debut, as well as the debut of two newcomers Gurfateh Pirzada and Lakshya, were announced by Karan Johar in March. The Shashank Khaitan-directed movie's first-look posters were also made public by the Dharma Productions Instagram account. There has been absolutely no news about the movie since its scheduled July 2022 release.Shanaya started prepping for the movie before it even started shooting. Shanaya gained knowledge of filmmaking and how movie sets operate while working as an assistant director on the Jhanvi Kapoor starred Gunjan Saxena prior to the release of her maiden film.

When the project was announced, Shanaya shared the poster on Instagram and wrote, 'I am extremely grateful and humbled to join the Dharma Family with #Bedhadak - directed by the brilliant Shashank Khaitan. I can't wait to kickstart this journey, I need all your blessings and love!"
