Bigg Boss 18: Ajay Devgn Reveals He Injured His Eye During Singham Again Shoot

One of the most anticipated movies of the year, Singham Again, is just days away from releasing. As the team gears up for promotions, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn reached Salman Khan's Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar.

On the show, Rohit and Salman confirmed the latter's cameo in Singham Again as he dons the cop uniform and revives his role as Chulbul Pandey. The film also stars Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar in prominent roles.

During their appearance on Bigg Boss 18, Ajay Devgn opened up about his eye injury and how he partially lost his vision for a couple of months. This happened during the shoot of the upcoming cop drama.

Ajay Devgn opens up about injuring his eye

As the actor-director duo visited the host on the reality television show, Ajay looked dapper in a leahter jacket and trousers, while Shetty's casual look stole many hearts.

When they met, a concerned Salman asked Ajay about his eye injury. "Aankh pe jo chot lagi thi yahi pe lagi thi kya (The eye injury that you suffered was in this one)?" he asked.

Rohit Shetty replied, "Haan, iss film pe (Yes, in this film)."

Recalling a conversation on the sets of Bigg Boss, Khan said, "Ajay showed me a shot. There was mistiming, and a person came to beat him with a stick, and its timing went off. So it straight hit him in the eye."

Ajay Devgn reveals undergoing eye surgery

Following the disturbing incident, the Drishyam actor revealed that along with glamour and fame comes serious occupational hazards. He revealed undergoing a small surgery to relieve the pain.

Ajay revealed, "Do-teen mahine toh vision chali gayi thi (I even lost my vision for two-three months). I went through a little surgery also."

Reacting to the same, Salman Khan said, "Action karoge toh ye sab hota rehta hai (When one does action scenes, such things happen)." To which Devgn replied, "Abhi toh phir bhi kaafi asaan ho gaya hai aajkal ke ladko ke liye (Nowadays, it's easier for actors)."

The upcoming action drama marks the third installment of the infamous franchise Singham. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, the film marks the comeback of Ajay Devgn as Bajirao Singham.

Joining forces with him are some seasoned faces like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh. The cast of Singham Again will also see some new entrants like Tiger Shroff, Deepika Padukone, and Jackie Shroff.

Singham Again releases on November 1 in cinemas near you. It will clash with Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
