The Indian film industry is mourning the loss of Tishaa Kumar, the daughter of actor-producer Krishan Kumar and Tanya Singh. Tishaa passed away on Thursday, July 18, at the young age of 20. The news has brought immense sorrow to her family, friends, and the entertainment community.

Tishaa and her fight against cancer

Born on September 6, 2003, Tishaa Kumar was a vibrant young woman. Despite her family's prominence, she maintained a relatively private life. Reports suggest that Tishaa was battling cancer and undergoing treatment in Germany, although there has been no official confirmation of her illness.

A T-Series spokesperson issued a statement confirming her death: 'Tishaa Kumar, daughter of Krishan Kumar, passed away yesterday after a prolonged battle with an illness. This is a difficult time for the family, and we kindly request that the family's privacy is respected.'

One of Tishaa's last public appearances was in November 2023, when she attended the premiere of the Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer, Animal. Despite her limited public presence, she was often seen at T-Series film screenings. Her attendance at these events highlighted her connection to the film industry and her family's influential role within it.
