While the visually stunning number, showcasing the lead pair dancing in picturesque locales, has undoubtedly captivated audiences, it has also raised eyebrows for its content. Critics have zeroed in on the perceived lack of chemistry between the two lead actors, with their 14-year age difference becoming a focal point of discussion.

A Reddit thread was flooded with comments expressing discomfort with the pairing, with one user bluntly stating, "No chemistry between Janhvi (27) and Jr NTR (41). This pair looks so odd. Age gap is jarring (Let's see if it's justified in movie). Jr NTR looks so awkward and out of place."

The song has also reignited the perennial debate about the objectification of women in South Indian cinema. The persistent focus on the female navel, a trope frequently criticised in the industry, has once again drawn ire from viewers. "No matter how advanced our CGI gets, we can never digitally remove the cultural fixation on a woman's navel," remarked one user, encapsulating the sentiment of many.

Despite the negative feedback, the song has also garnered praise, with many appreciating its aesthetic appeal and Anirudh Ravichander's musical composition. Social media influencer Orry eloquently described Janhvi Kapoor's dance moves as "the flow of the ocean," adding, "Effortlessly sexy and stunning, worth all the wait."

However, the composer's triumph was short-lived as allegations of plagiarism surfaced. Several listeners claimed that the melody bore striking similarities to the viral Sri Lankan song "Manike Mage Hithe." While some defended Anirudh's creativity, others were quick to point out the alleged resemblance.
