Dia Mirza, the renowned actress and environmental activist, continues to be a vocal advocate for environmental protection and wildlife conservation. On World Environment Day 2024, Mirza shed light on various aspects of sustainability, from personal choices to industry practices.

Dia Mirza talks about finding greenery amidst the concrete jungle in Mumbai

Mirza, who hails from Hyderabad, revealed a heartwarming reason behind choosing her current home in Mumbai. "The first time I went house hunting in Bandra, I was brought to this building, where we're sitting right now in this home. I was all of 20, and I walked around the building and saw this beautiful lush garden with big trees and the whole apartment, which is surrounded by a big dense green cover and tall old trees, and I'm from Hyderabad.'

'So I was like, 'This is amazing'. I'll be able to look out for greenery, and one day hopefully my kids will play here. This is my sanctuary, and this is where we live and spend so much of our time, and the children go to the garden every day. Avyaan definitely does. We watch birds together, walk in the soil and grass, and grow plants. It's everything I ever hoped for." This personal connection highlights the importance of preserving green spaces within urban environments.
