Diljit Dosanjh, the beloved Punjabi singer and actor, has made a bold announcement that has stirred fans across India. During his recent concert in Chandigarh on December 14, part of his electrifying Dil-Luminati tour, the singer declared he will no longer perform in India unless the country significantly improves its concert infrastructure. His statement, delivered in Punjabi, called on authorities to take action, highlighting the importance of live shows for generating revenue and providing livelihoods.
A Stern Ultimatum to Authorities
At the Chandigarh concert, Diljit Dosanjh openly criticised the lack of proper infrastructure for live shows in India. Addressing the audience, he said, 'I want to tell the designated authorities that India does not have the infrastructure for live shows. This is a big revenue-generating space. It also gives livelihood to many. Please focus on this space as well. I will not perform shows here until things improve here. Instead of troubling us, improve the infrastructure.'Diljit's powerful message resonated with many fans and industry insiders. He emphasised the challenges artists face due to inadequate venues and mismanagement, urging authorities to invest in better facilities.

Dil-Luminati Tour: A Phenomenal Success
Diljit's Dil-Luminati tour has been a grand spectacle, captivating audiences in multiple cities. Starting with a massive opening in Delhi, the tour has thrilled fans in Jaipur, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Pune, Kolkata, and Bengaluru. Each performance showcased Diljit's magnetic stage presence and high-energy shows, leaving audiences spellbound.During his Chandigarh concert, Diljit dedicated the show to India's newly-crowned International Chess Federation (FIDE) World Champion, Gukesh Dommaraju, further highlighting his pride in Indian talent.
Adding a touch of cinematic flair, Diljit referenced Allu Arjun's famous dialogue from Pushpa, saying in his signature style, "Saala nahi jhukega toh kya jija jhuk jayega." His message was clearmdashhe refuses to back down until his concerns are addressed.
Diljit's Indian tour will conclude with a performance in Guwahati on December 29. After this, he has made it clear that he will not hold concerts in India until substantial improvements are made in live concert infrastructure.
