In a shocking incident, shots were fired outside the Vancouver residence of popular Punjabi singer and rapper AP Dhillon. The shooting is believed to be the work of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has recently been linked to several high-profile incidents.

Shots fired at AP Dhillon's residence in Canada

AP Dhillon, whose real name is Amritpal Singh Dhillon, resides in Vancouver, Canada, on Victoria Island. The 31-year-old musician, known for his unique blend of 80s-style synthpop and Punjabi music, became the target of the shooting incident.

According to reports, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Rohit Godara, has claimed responsibility for the attack. In a post circulating on social media, he boasted about the firing at two locations in CanadamdashVictoria Island, where AP Dhillon's house is located, and Woodbridge, Toronto.

The gang had reportedly issued a stern warning to the singer, threatening him to "stay within his limits, or he will meet a dog's death." This was in reference to AP Dhillon's connections with the Ek Tha Tiger hero. The shooting incident occurred just weeks after the release of AP Dhillon's latest music video, 'Old Money,' which features Salman Khan.

The motive behind the attack appears to be linked to AP Dhillon's association with Salman Khan. Rohit Godara, in his purported post, claimed that the firing was carried out because AP Dhillon featured Salman Khan in his music video. This connection has raised alarms, given the gang's previous threats against Salman Khan. It was also reported that the gang issued death threats to AP Dhillon in the same post.

A day after the incident, AP Dhillon took to Instagram to reassure his fans and followers. He wrote, "I'm safe, My people are safe. Thank you to everyone who reached out to me. Your support means everything."

This shooting incident in Canada has eerie parallels to a previous attack on Salman Khan. On April 14, shots were fired outside Salman Khan's Galaxy Apartment in Mumbai's Bandra. Subsequent investigations revealed that the Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the attack.

Police officials later disclosed that Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Vishnoi, played a crucial role in planning and executing the attack on Khan. The shooters involved in the Galaxy Apartment firing had received weapons in Panvel and were instructed by Anmol Vishnoi to carry out the attack, for which they were paid a sum of 3 lakh.
