The lifeless body of Chandramouli Biswas, 48, was discovered on Sunday, January 12, at his rented house on Indian Mirror Street, Kolkata. He was found hanging by a fan. The discovery was made by his close friend Mehul Chakraborty, who is also the lead vocalist of Golok.

Mehul shared, 'I hadn't been able to reach Chandramouli on the phone since morning. The phone kept ringing, and I grew worried. So, I went to his house with another friend in the afternoon, and that's when I saw him hanging from a fan. It's a big loss for the entire Bengal music industry.'

A suicide note found at the scene mentioned no one was responsible for his death. Initial police investigations revealed Chandramouli had been battling depression for several years, exacerbated by financial struggles.
