The teaser for Ganpath is out, and it raises a lot of curiosity about the kind of world it is set in. It begins with Tiger Shroff meditating on a rock in a place of darkness. Then it cuts to show some visuals from the future. It is 2070 AD, and havoc is out on the streets. Intertitles describe the time as a world without hope and mercy as the baritone voice of Amitabh Bachhan is heard: "Ye ladai tab tak mat ladhna jabtak hamara yoddha na aajaye." And so begins the action as we see Tiger jumping and kicking the opponent in a fight.
The film is the first part of the franchise and is titled Ganpath: A Hero is Born. It also stars Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachhan in the lead roles, promising to be a dramatic exploration of the future. Kriti can also be seen doing stunts and kicking the enemy away. Bachhan's presence is restricted only to his voiceover, which creates a lot of intrigue. The film promises to be an action-packed entertainer with appealing dialogue and slick visuals.
It is directed by Vikas Bahl and produced by Vicky Bhagnani. Vikas Bahl's last directorial venture was Goodbye (2022), which was written by him as well. Despite receiving good reviews from critics, the film didn't do well at the box office.
The makers had earlier released an even shorter video to incite curiosity about the film. In it, Tiger was seen speaking to the camera while standing atop a skyscraper. As the video ends, he takes a jump from above. The teaser maintains that tone and takes it even further. Tiger shared the teaser on his Instagram and wrote, "Intezaar ka waqt khatam huahellip aa gaye hain hum aapko apni duniya main le jaanehellip". The teaser was released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film will release in all five languages on October 20.
The film marks the reunion of Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff, who were last seen together in Heropanti (2014). Kriti's last film releases were Adipurush and Shehzada. She also won the National Award this year for her film Mimi (2021). Tiger was last seen in Heropanti 2, which wasn't well received by audiences and critics alike.
