Priyanka Chopra is a woman with big dreams and aspirations, who has no time to bear the disrespect and misbehavior of the people around her. She is known for being honest and expressing herself. The Desi Girl has not only gained a huge fan following in Bollywood but also has made a mark with her fantastic acting skills in Hollywood. Recently, in a podcast, Priyanka was asked about what made her move to the US for work, and surprisingly, the actress opened up about it and what she said will shock you!

In the recent podcast of Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard, Priyanka Chopra was asked why she decided to work in the US.'So how do you decide you want to even put yourself through that? Why'd you decide to put yourself through that and then what was it?' asked Dax Shepard. To which she revealed,'I've never said this so I'm going to say it because you'll make me feel safe.'

She told that Anjula Acharia of Desi Hits noticed her in a video, and she called her up while Priyanka was busy shooting for Saat Khoon Maaf. She said she heard the demo and if she would be interested in a music career in the US.

Priyanka opened up and said,'I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.'She also added, 'This music thing gave me an opportunity to go into another part of the world, not crave for the movies I didn't want to get but I would require to schmooze certain clubs and cliques of people. It would require groveling and I had worked a long time by then that I didn't feel like I wanted to do it.'

To grab the music opportunity that came her way, Priyanka Chopra chose to go to America, and surprisingly she got the chance to work with Pitbull, Will.I.Am, Pharell Williams, and even met JayZ! Later on, the actress added that she quickly learned that she was much better at her'day job'when her music career didn't perform well. Before that, she also tried out for various acting roles and successfully bagged the role in Quantico.
