Huma Qureshi, who will soon be featured in the biopic Tarla Dalal, India's first-ever home chef, has finally concluded filming after 37 days in Mumbai. The wedding sequence scene was the last thing they shot for the movie. Ronnie Screwvala, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Nitesh Tiwari are the producers of Tarla.

Tarla Dalal was an Indian chef, culinary writer who penned almost 100 cookbooks, and cooking show host. She passed away in 2013 at the age of 77. In 2007, she became the first Indian to receive the Padma Shri in the area of culinary abilities. This biopic is the first biopic on the Indian chef.

According to the sources, Huma did every possible thing to get perfectly involved in the role. Huma practiced Tarla Dalal's accent, pitch, and mannerisms, and even wore dentures for long periods to practice speaking with them.

In an interview Huma shares, 'They say every character you play as an actor leaves an impression on your soul and Tarla Dalal's journey has left an impression on my soul. It truly holds a special place in my heart. As I wrap the film, I cannot help but think of the quiet strength, love, humor, and empathy'. Furthermore, she added, working on the film was an extraordinary experience in her life.

Apart from the Tarla Dala biopic, Qureshi's lined up projects are 'Double XL' with Sonakshi Sinha, Vasan Bala's Netflix film 'Monica O My Darling', and SonyLIV series 'Maharani'.

Do you think this film is similar to Meryl Streep's Hollywood film Julie and Julia? The movie in which Julie kept an online record of her commitment to prepare all 524 recipes in Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking in 365 days.
