Junaid Khan And Khushi Kapoor Pair Up For A Rom-Com, To Release On THIS Date

Bollywood and romance go hand-in-hand, especially when it comes to heartwarming stories and a stellar star cast. While we all love the maestros of romance, today's generation is looking for young talent. Speaking of which, Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are pairing up for Advait Chandan's romantic comedy.

Aamir Khan's son Junaid made his digital debut this year with the much-acclaimed Netflix film Maharaj. His performance was highly lauded. Now, he's looking forward to his next project, which will also mark his theatrical debut opposite Khushi Kapoor.

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor's youngest daughter, who also made her OTT debut with Zoya Akhtar's The Archies, will be making her glorious Bollywood debut in the upcoming romantic comedy.

The film will be helmed by Laal Singh Chaddha director Advait Chandan. The yet-to-be-titled film, which is backed by Phantom Studios, gets a release date.

The two star kids pair up for the first time for the upcoming movie, which is a Hindi adaptation of the popular Tamil blockbuster, Love Today. On Tuesday, the makers of the film announced its release date.

Junaid-Khushi's yet-untitled romantic saga will see a theatrical release on February 7, 2025. The tagline on the poster read, "The theatrical release of our film about love, likes, and everything in between."

The film is an adaptation of Tamil rom-com Love Today, which was released in 2022. It was headlined by Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana. The film that marked Ranganathan's acting debut was directed by him.

Love Today's story revolves around a couple who is compelled to exchange their phones for a day at the behest of the girl's father. The material will naturally be tweaked to suit the Hindi-speaking audience's taste.

A source close to the development revealed that Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor's next will be filmed primarily in Delhi.

On the work front

Junaid Khan made his OTT debut with Netlfix's Maharaj. Helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra and produced by Aditya Chopra, the movie also starred Jaideep Ahlawat and Sharvari Wagh in titular roles.

He received great reviews from fans and critics alike. The movie became one of the most-watched content on the OTT giant. Apart from the yet-untitled film with Khushi, the actor also has a movie with Sai Pallavi in pipeline.

As for Khushi Kapoor, she was launched by Zoya Akhtar in The Archies, where she essayed the role of Veronica. It was received well by the audience however, her performance garnered mixed reviews.
