JUST IN! Brahmastra: Ayan Mukerji Movie To Release In 8000 Screens

Brahmastra is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of 2022. Movie stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are in lead roles which also become a part of the Bollywood boycott trend after the actress' statement on nepotism. Amidst all this, reports state that the Ayan Mukerji directorial is getting the widest release for a Hindi film.

The film recently announced advance bookings and is already doing stellar business in pre-release sales at the box office. As per reports places like Jaipur, Patna and Indore are showing excellent responses. On the same day, the team promoted the film at a grand event in Hyderabad.

At the event, K Madhavan, Country Manager amp President of Disney Star, revealed, "Brahmastra is not an Indian film. It will be traveling across the world. We are going to release it on almost 8000 screens - 5000 in India and 3000 worldwide. I think it is happening for the first time."

In a recent report, a trade expert said, "Brahmastra will have the widest release ever for a Hindi film. It comes at a time when theaters are starved for content. There's also tremendous excitement. Hence, the theaters will be flooded with Brahmastra's prints. Meanwhile, overseas, Disney has all gone all out and have been released in some non-traditional markets too."

The movie is rumored as the most expensive Hindi film made on a budget of Rs. 410 crores. Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva is releasing in theaters on 9th September.
