Kareena Kapoor belongs to one of the most illustrious families in Bollywood. The Kapoors are often referred to as the first family of Hindi cinema. Her great-grandfather, Prithviraj Kapoor, started the legacy of acting and passed it on to her grandfather, Raj Kapoor. It was the Kapoor clan that continues to dominate Bollywood even today. However, strangely, no Kapoor woman ever worked for the longest time.
Rishi Kapoor's wife, Neetu Kapoor, and Randhir Kapoor's wife, Babita, quit acting after they got married. The question of why no Kapoor women have worked earlier has been lingering for quite some time. Opening up on the same, Kareena Kapoor spoke at length and even credited her father for changing with the times.

That when they got married they never really worked, but I'm glad that my father moved with the times because that's what it's about. You have to keep changing yourself for your children. That's also important, and we should not live in archaic times.'
