Katrina Kaif is one of the fittest and most talented actresses in Bollywood. She has come a long way after delivering some incredible performances in movies like Rajneeti, Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahaani, The Tiger Series, Jab Tak Hain Jaan, and more.

However, her journey to fame and success wasn't easy. In an old interview, Katrina recalled how she struggled during her modeling days.

Katrina Kaif is one of those model-turned-actresses who built her place in the film industry. She turns 41 this year. In an interview, the Tiger 3 actress recalled the blunt rejections she faced in her modeling career for being 'too big' and 'too curvy.'

Why did Katrina Kaif face rejection as a model?

In an old interview that is resurfacing on the internet, Katrina opened up about the callous modeling standards in the 2000s and how she worked on herself. Back then, inclusivity for every body type was a far-fetched concept.

Katrina recalls facing rejection for being too curvy and big. Opening up about her modeling stints, the actress said, 'When I started as a model, I faced difficulty getting many ramp shows. I was told that I was too big, too curvy, and lacked proper posture."

"I realized it was a problem and made efforts to improve. Eventually, I started getting some shows, but I would often have just one change, which would be loose and oversized. I would observe others who had multiple changes,' she further added.

Undaunted and resolute by the rejections, Katrina Kaif continued to work on herself.

"The film industry, like any other, is highly competitive. If you become complacent, there will always be someone who wants it more and may surpass you. So, I strive to remain grounded, remember my beginnings, and continue putting in effort," the actress concluded.
