Malayalam Actress Meena Ganesh Passes Away At 81 After Suffering A Stroke

Popular Malayalam actress Meena Ganesh has passed away on Thursday. The news of her death came on December 19 as she breathed her last in her hometown, Ottappalam, in Palakkad. According to a report by Manorama News, she was undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
According to OTT Play, Meena was undergoing treatment in Kerala when she complained about an increase in her blood pressure levels. They also cited a few reports that claimed the actress suffered a stroke five days ago and was also getting treated for the same.
However, Radio City couldn't verify the claims at the time of reporting. The exact cause of Meena Ganesh's death is yet to be known.

She breathed her last in the wee hours of Thursday. Reportedly, her last rites will take place in Shoranur on Thursday evening. Her husband, AN Ganesh, a popular theatre actor, survives her.
They share two children, a son named Manoj Ganesh and a daughter, Sangeetha.
Who was Meena Ganesh?
The infamous Malayalam actress has worked in over 100 films. She was 19 when she began her acting career. She started off as a theatre artist and eventually worked in films as well. She made her acting debut with the 1977 release, Mani Muzhakkam.She was mostly seen playing a supporting role in the movies. To name a few, she was a part of movies like 'Mandanmar Londanil,' 'Utsava Melam,' 'Golanthara Vartha,' 'Sakshal Sreeman Chathunni,' 'Kalyana Sougandhikam,' 'Siamese Irattakal,' 'Sreekrishnapurathe Nakshathrathilakkam,' and 'My Dear Karady.'
Throughout her career, she worked with many prominent actors in the Kerala film industry. These included Kalabhavan Mani, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Dileep, Mohanlal, and Mammootty.
Her most memorable roles were from two movies, namely 'The Reporter' and 'Doctor Innocentanu.' Her last film was released in 2016.
Besides movies, Meena also tried her hand at television and went on to star in a few regional daily soaps like 'Ramayanam,' 'Mangalyam,' 'Kalyanaveeran,' and 'Minnukettu.'
