Modern Love: Amazon Anthology Gets Indian Adaptation Featuring Stories From Vishal Bhardwaj & More

Amazon Prime Video announced on its social media handles the Indian adaptation of the popular US anthology Modern Love. Titled 'Modern Love: Mumbai', this show revolves around different lives in the city.
The Mumbai chapter brings in six different and talented directors Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava and Nupur Asthana. Hansal and other filmmakers shared the poster captioning, 'Making way into your (heart emoji).' The original anthology was helmed by John Carney and is based on columns written in the New Yokr Times.
Shonali Bose directorial Raat Rani features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat and Dilip Prabhavalkar. Hansal helmed Baai has Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi and Ranveer Brar. Vishal has directed Mumbai Dragion starring Yeo Yann Yann, Meiyang Chang, Wamiqa Gabbi and Naseeruddin Shah while Alankrita's My Beautiful Wrinkles stars Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa and Tanvi Azmi.
Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik and Dolly Singhstar in Dhruv Sehgal's I Love Thane and Nupur's Cutting Chai features Arshad Warsi and Chintragada Singh.

The other two Indian adaptations of the anthology are titled Modern Love: Chennai and Modern Love: Hyderabad. Modern Love Mumbai is all set to rerlease on May 13 on Amazon Prime Video.
