OG Manjulika Aka Vidya Balan Begins Shooting For Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Alongside Kartik Aaryan

With the new year bringing in an exciting lineup of movies, we come bearing an update about yet another highly anticipated film. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, and Tripti Dimri, has begun shooting with the OG Manjulika back in the game.

On Monday, Vidya Balan took to Instagram and shared a behind-the-scenes (BTS) video of the mahurat shot. In the video, Tripti Dimri and Kartik Aaryan can be seen hugging each other as the Parineeta actress performs aarti before doing the first shot of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.


The second installment of the film was headlined by Tabu, Kartik Aaryan, and Kiara Advani. It was a mega-blockbuster at the box office. The third installment of Bhool Bhulaiyaa will also star Kartik in the lead.

Vidya took to her Instagram and shared the video. Her caption read, "Super thrilled to kickstart this spooky yet hilarious journey of #BhoolBhulaiyaa3 with the super talented @kartikaaryan and @tripti_dimri, the visionary @aneesbazmee, and the man who made this all possible, #BhushanKumar! I can't wait for Diwali 2024."

A couple of days ago, the Dhamaka actor shared an adorable post on Instagram where he can be seen seeking blessings of the Almighty right before commencing the shoot for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Anees Bazmee on working with Akshay Kumar

Ever since Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was released, fans have missed seeing Akshay Kumar as the lead character. In the first installment of the psychological thriller, he was seen playing the role of a psychiatrist who helped Vidya Balan get over her mental illness.

However, in the second and third franchises of the film, he was replaced by Kartik Aaryan, the reason being that Akshay demanded a whopping amount of fees.

When asked Anees Bazmee if the actor would play a guest role in the film, he denied it and said he wouldn't be a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 either.

"No, Akshay is not a part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. I am dying to work with him, but unfortunately, I have not been able to script a film where we could work together. In the future, certainly yes," said the filmmaker.

Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will release on Diwali 2024.
