Bollywood and its remaking culture of iconic songs are never-ending. Either we get a mind-boggling version of a cult classic, or its absurd version forces us to cringe and cry in a corner. The latter happened with the Pakistani song Pasoori. The Ali Sethi-Shae Gill song is now getting a remake in the upcoming romantic drama Satyaprem Ki Katha.

The movie stars Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in the lead roles. A Coke Studio masterpiece, Pasoori 2.0, will now be sung by Arijit Singh and Tulsi Kumar. Amidst the news, angry Pakistanis are slamming T-Series for remaking their most loved song, which received massive love from across the globe.

Angry Pakistanis Slam T-Series for Pasoori Remake
Satyaprem Ki Katha's Pasoori was launched on Monday, June 26. Several Twitter users who slammed the makers hail from Pakistan, where the song was created. "Music: Pakistan Actors Nepotism Story Hollywood and Tamil This is how Bollywood works," wrote a user.

Accusing T-Series of jeopardising upcoming artists' careers, one user wrote, "T-Series has bought the rights to all Desi songs and is now focused on remaking them, thus taking the livelihood of new singers, lyricists, and upcoming music directors. They're keeping listeners away from new creations too. I am not ready to buy that a better original can't be created."

What bothered most of the users was T-Series calling Pasoori a global hit. They feel the makers should mention it was a Pakistani hit before the song became a worldwide sensation.
Another tweet read, "They wouldn't act in that manner. Of course, it was made by Pakistani singers and artists, but T-Series recognising them would be detrimental to both their nation and the ratings. They must have paid a fortune for Pasoori, I'm certain."
Some Indians retaliated against their Pakistani counterparts by attacking the original makers. They said instead of blaming T-Series, they should probably question the original creators for selling out the rights.
