In a recent interview, Madhu Chopra, mother of global icon Priyanka Chopra, opened up about her daughter's relationship with American singer Nick Jonas, particularly addressing their 10-year age gap. When asked about the age difference, Madhu responded with a refreshing perspective.

Madhu Chopra expressed that the age gap between Priyanka and Nick was never a concern for her. She said, 'Koi farak nahi pada. Aadmi acha, ladki achi both care for each other, that's all. Nothing (discussion about it). Maine uss nazar se dekha hi nahi. I was so happy and ecstatic. Bolne wale bolte rahe.' Her focus was always on the quality of the relationship and how they cared for each other, rather than their ages.

Madhu also shared a heartwarming anecdote about her first meeting with Nick Jonas. She recalled, 'When he came to India and met me, he took me to lunch when Priyanka was not around. Nick asked me what kind of boy I would want for Priyanka. So I listed all the qualities, and he simply took my hand and said, 'I am that guy. Can I be that person? I promise that nothing from your list will be left unchecked'.' This sincere gesture left a lasting impression on Madhu, who immediately liked Nick because of his confidence and earnestness.

Madhu also spoke about the challenges women face in balancing their careers and personal lives. She offered advice that she often shares with Priyanka, emphasising the importance of maintaining balance. 'I say this to every working woman. It is not easy to make a place for yourself. So, build your career, but have a balance. But shut all the noise around you,' she said, encouraging women to focus on their goals amidst external pressures.
