In South Asia (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, etc.), the fasting period of 29-30 days starts today, March 12.
The holy month of Ramzan 2024 marks the ninth month in the Islamic calendar where all Muslims fast, pray, and reflect by giving back to the community. They also engage in philanthropic activities. Ramzan is celebrated as it was the month when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Mohammed for the first time.
Many Indian celebrities, like Shah Rukh Khan, Gauhar Khan, Aamir Ali, Huma Qureshi, and Hina Khan, among others, observe Roza and celebrate the holy month with utmost divinity.
