Ranbir Kapoor Summoned By ED In Online Mahadev Betting App Case

Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has been hitting the headlines for his upcoming movies. However, this time, he has been in the limelight for yet another shocking reason. On Wednesday, Ranbir was summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the Mahadev online betting app. He was ordered to be present in front of the probe agency on October 10.
Ranbir Kapoor has been the face of the online betting platform and has reportedly received payments for carrying out promotional activities on the app. Along with the Brahmastra actor, several other Bollywood celebrities and singers are likely to be summoned for the same.
Last month, a report revealed a list of actors and singers who attended the Mahadev Book app promoter Sourabh Chandrakar's wedding ceremony in the UAE earlier in February this year.

The list includes prominent names like Atif Aslam, Kriti Kharbanda, Pulkit Samrat, Bhagyashree, Vishal Dadlani, Elli AvrRam, Bharti Singh, Ali Asgar, Krushna Abhishek, Nushrratt Bharucha, and Sukhwinder Singh.
As per the digital evidence dug in by the ED, 112 crores were delivered through hawala to an event management company, while payments for hotel bookings costing around 42 crores were made in cash.
The Enforcement Directorate carried out surprise searches in cities like Kolkata, Bhopal, and Mumbai in relation to the Mahadev online betting app case. There are several alleged money laundering networks connected with the UAE-based betting platform.
On the work front
Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Animal, costarring Rashmika Mandanna. The movie also features Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in prominent roles. The film is all set to release on December 1 in cinemas near you.He has also been roped in for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana to play Lord Rama. South Indian actress Sai Pallavi will play the role of Lord Sita. Intially, Alia Bhatt was approached for the same, but she moved out due to scheduling issues.
