Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan Would Make Great Sharks At Shark Tank India: OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal

With India adapting several cultures and TV shows from the West, one of the most popular shows that became a huge hit in India was Shark Tank. The third season of Shark Tank India started streaming on January 22, and it has already taken the internet by storm.

With an array of successful entrepreneurs fishing for their right shark, Shark Tank India will be judged by Aman Gupta (boAt), Vineeta Singh (Sugar Cosmetics), Ritesh Agarwal (OYO Rooms), Anupam Mittal (shaadi.com), and Peyush Bansal (Lenskart).

In an interview, OYO CEO Ritesh Agarwal revealed his list of judges, giving it a Bollywood touch. The OYO founder feels these two actors will make great investors if another chair is added to the show.

The reality TV show is all about pitching your business ideas and convincing one or more judges to invest in them. With the money comes their expertise and immaculate business sense.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Ritesh Agarwal named two actors who could be best for Shark Tank India. He recommended Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aaryan as people who could be added to the show.

When asked why, Agarwal said, 'I think Ranveer Singh would be the one. He will bring a sense of consumer understanding and energy, which we also try to bring, but of course, he will bring his own perspective.'

Speaking of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 actor, Ritesh added, 'Kartik Aaryan is a small-town person, but has done very smart things. Not much is talked about him, but he came from a small town and became very successful in Bollywood. He has done it all, but very quietly and systematically, and he has made a bunch of investments. I would say these two (Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aaryan) would be best.'

The OYO CEO also opened up about how people are getting inspired by the Bollywood trend of tying the knot at a scenic destination rather than some boring banquet hall.

Celebrity couples like Katrina Kaif-Vicky Kaushal, Priyanka Chopra-Nick Jonas, Parineeti Chopra-Raghav Chadha, and Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani, among others, made Rajasthan a royal hot spot for weddings.

Speaking on planning to expand in this sector, the 29-year-old business tycoon said, "We also have a brand called Weddingz it's one of the largest platforms in India. Thirdly, I see that destination weddings are becoming more and more popular within India."

"People are saying, 'Can we have a destination wedding in Thiruvananthapuram because I watched a South Indian film where Tamil weddings are very special?' There's a lot of interest in doing weddings in Rajasthan it's a hotspot. The North East is something interesting that is coming up," he concluded.
