While Bollywood is trying to make several universes, it was Rohit Shetty who started the whole concept of bringing in the cop cinematic drama with his Singham franchise. The cop universe created by the filmmaker just got bigger and better.

Singham Again, the third installment of Shetty's universe, has pulled off a major casting coup. While Ajay Devgn has already been ruling all three Singham movies, it is Salman Khan who may join the cop universe as he dons Chulbul Pandey's uniform.

For the uninitiated, Singham Again will see Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh in titular roles. Fans are waiting with bated breath for the upcoming action drama.

Salman Khan's Chulbul Pandey meets Ajay Devgn's Singham

The former's character, Chulbul Pandey in the Dabangg series, is massively loved. Fans and moviegoers have been thoroughly entertained with Salman's power-packed action, whistle-worthy dialogues, and free-spirited dance.

According to reports, the Dabangg actor is all set to make a special appearance in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again. Not long ago, a picture of Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn in police uniform on a film set went viral.

Not only has this sparked rumors about the much-awaited collaboration, but it has also left fans expecting more and more from the film.

The reports further suggest that Rohit Shetty convinced Khan to come onboard to create an extra impact, and the latter agreed without any hesitations or questions. Rumors of Baahubali star Prabhas making a cameo in the film are also doing the rounds.

This strategic move by the filmmaker can expect a sizeable audience from the south as well.

While the movie is already in the post-production stage, Rohit Shetty is still busy filming a massive climax sequence for the film. He has envisioned a play-like scene for the film where several actors are dressed as devils.

A source close to the development said, 'Rohit is shooting a grand play-like scene and has many characters dressed as rakshasas, thus adding a folk-based twist to the proceedings. The team has set up a large stage, where Rohit will film an elaborate performance that forms the centerpiece of the climax. In the next few days, Ajay is expected to join the shoot.'


On the first day of the shoot, over 500 people had gathered in Mumbai's Vile Parle set. 'The scene needed a huge crowd. So, the production team included the people gathered in the scene. Filming is expected to continue until September 11,' the source continued.

Apart from the regular cast, Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff in pivotal roles. It will clash with Kartik Aaryan's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.

Singham Again is all set to release on November 1 in cinemas near you.
