One of the most controversially successful stars, Salman Khan has always had his personal life front and center in the media. Be it his alleged affairs with leading ladies of Bollywood or ugly fights with his co-stars, the actor always gives his fans something to talk about.

Speaking of controversial affairs, one of Khan's ex-girlfriends, Somy Ali, has shared some shocking details about the superstar that have created a frenzy all over the internet.

In an interview, the actress opened up about her relationship with Salman Khan, his breakup with Sangeeta Bijlani, how Aishwarya Rai's entry became a turning point between them, and more.

Somy Ali reveals Salman Khan cheated on Sangeeta Bijlani

For the uninitiated, the Tiger Zinda Hai actor was on the verge of tying the knot with Bijlani, whom he was dating for quite some time. However, he was somehow enamoured by Somy while working together.

The two used to meet together without Sangeeta's knowledge, thus becoming a reason for their split-up. In fact, she even caught the two red-handed in a room, just days before their marriage.

When asked if Sangeeta Bijlani knew about Ali and Khan's relationship, the Chupp actress confirmed and said, 'Yes, that's absolutely true,' further recalling, 'I was living in Vindyachal (Uttar Pradesh) at that time. Salman used to climb the pipes and come to my room through my window."

"I found this act of Salman utterly romantic. It was a two-bedroom apartment. However, I remember one day he came over at around 10:30 am when this incident happened. He was still seeing Sangeeta at that time, and in fact, their wedding cards had been printed as well,' Somy added.

When Sangeeta Bijlani caught Salman and Somy red-handed

She recalled how Sangeeta gave the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor an ultimatum, asking him to choose between her and Somy Ali.

'Salman and I were sitting and talking in my room, and Sangeeta walked in suddenly. She looked at Salman and said, 'This is it. You have to make a choice.' Salman told me, 'Somy, I'll be back in 10 minutes.' I assumed that he would go ahead and marry Sangeeta since the wedding cards had already been printed. But he came back to the room and told me that he had broken up with Sangeeta and he wanted to be with me. I felt like it was fate,' she reminisced.

In the same interview, Somy Ali also revealed that she knew it was time for her to 'pack her bags' after Salman Khan worked with Aishwarya Rai in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.

It was on the sets of the film that the two fell in love, and the rest is history.
