WATCH! Singer Kailash Kher Attacked For Not Singing Kannada Songs At The Hampi Utsav, Video Inside

Bollywood singer and veteran musician Kailash Kher was attacked during a live concert at the Hampi Utsav. The singer graced the three-day long concert in the historic city of Hampi, where he greeted his fans with waves before starting to sing. As he promised fans to sing songs in Kannada and Hindi. Amidst the crowd, two attendees got upset when the singer did not sing Kannada songs and started to throw plastic bottles at him.

Identified as Pradeep (22) and Surah (21), the local youngsters were furious after Kailash Kher continued to sing in Hindi despite their repeatitive request of singing in Kannada. As the plastic bottles were an almost miss, the Teri Deewani singer continued to sing without beinf distracted and mesmerize the crowd with his unique voice. The local police immediately intervened and arrested the two youngsters.

Kher took to his Instagram account and shared his experience of performing in the festival. However, nothing was mentioned about the attacks in his post. His post read in Hindi, "When paid Kailasa musical tribute to Puneet Rajkumar ji, a song series filmed on him and presented our Kannada songs, the entire Vijayanagar was seen singing, swinging and getting emotional with @bandkailasa. #KailasaLiveInConcert closing of #hampiutsav2023 was very emotional. @kkaladham."


The three-day Hanpi Utsav, which began on Friday, is an annual music festival which is held by the Karnataka government to encourage and increase the tourism of the Vijaynagara Empire.
