1. A child actor at the age of 4

Sridevi started her career as a child actor when she was just four years old. Her debut movie was Thunaivan. Over her five-decade-long career, she headlined over 300 films, with Mom being her last hoorah.

2. Sridevi played Rajinikanth's stepmother

At the young age of 13, Sridei played the South superstar's stepmother in the 1976 release Moondru Mudichu. The two have collaborated for around 22 fims. However, the late actress playing Rajinikanth's stepmother was quite bizarre.

3. Hindi was a problem for Sridevi

While she made her transition from South Indian cinema to Bollywood effortlessly, Sridevi was not a fluent Hindi speaker. She had to get her dialogue dubbed by actress Naaz. Here's a surprising fact: Rekha once dubbed for Sridevi in the film Aakhri Raasta. It was in Chandni that Sridevi first started dubbing her dialogues.

4. Sridevi rejected Hollywood

Not everyone knows this, but there were many roles rejected by the English Vinglish actress. Sridevi was offered Madhuri Dixit's role in Beta. She was even offered a role by Steven Spielberg in Jurassic Park, but Sridevi refused it because she didn't want to take such a long break from Bollywood.

Little did we know that Sridevi had a hidden artist within her. She even made a painting of Sonam Kapoor's character in Saawariya, which was supposed to be auctioned off after Mohit Marwah's wedding in Dubai. However, Sridevi mysteriously died soon after the wedding.
