Get ready for a dose of chills and laughter this Independence Day! The makers of the highly anticipated horror-comedy "Stree 2" have unveiled the film's release date along with a unique teaser launch strategy.

Marking a shift from the earlier announced date, "Stree 2" will now hit theatres on August 15, 2024, coinciding with India's Independence Day. This exciting news comes alongside the reveal of a special teaser that isn't available online but rather screened exclusively before showings of another Maddock Films horror film, "Munjya."

The official announcement came via Maddock Films' Instagram account. The post featured a poster with the caption, "Iss swatantrata diwas, aa rahi hai #Stree fir se! #Stree2 in cinemas this Independence Day, 15th August 2024." This preponement of the release date by two weeks has surely piqued the interest of fans who were initially awaiting the film's arrival on August 31st.

The teaser itself remains shrouded in mystery and unavailable on any social media platform yet. This unique approach highlights the return of the chilling entity, the Stree, (meaning "woman" in Hindi). The makers promise a film that's both funnier and scarier, leaving audiences on the edge of their seats while tickling their funny bones.

"Stree 2" marks the fifth installment in the ever-expanding Maddock Supernatural Universe. The film reunites the original cast, including Aparshakti Khurana, Pankaj Tripathi, and Abhishek Banerjee, alongside the lead pair of Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Directed by Amar Kaushik, written by Niren Bhatt, and produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films and Jyoti Deshpande, the film promises to be a cinematic treat.
