After knowing Akshay Kumar won't be a part of Hera Pheri 3, fans were left disappointed. The news comes after the actor confirmed him walking out of the iconic comedy-drama as he wasn't convinced with the script. Having said that, there are reports saying Akshay was quoting a whopping Rs. 90 Crores to play his legendary character of Raju. To replace him, the makers of the movie roped in Kartik Aaryan, who came onboard for Rs. 30 Crores. This news came as a shock to Suniel Shetty.
In a recent interview, Suniel Shetty was asked about Akshay Kumar's exit from Hera Pheri 3 and he seemed totally unaware of the same. He also promised that he will speak to the makers and see if everything can fall in place. 'Everything was on track, but I don't know what happened suddenly [that] Akshay is not a part of it anymore. Once I am [done with] Dharavi Bank promotions, I will sit with Firoz [Nadiadwala, producer] and understand why and how this happened. Akshay, Paresh and I had committed to the movie, and this twist has stunned me,' said the actor.
Along with Hera Pheri fans, Suniel also agrees the movie wouldn't be the same without Akshay in it. He further added, 'Hera Pheri 3 cannot be the same without Akshay. Raju, Babu bhaiyya and Shyam are iconic characters whose journeys have been together. There's palpable excitement when you mention the film. I want to see if things can still fall in place.'
While Suniel's statement has given some hope to the fans, we're still wondering if Kartik Aaryan is the only replacement option for every OG Akshay Kumar movie?

In a statement, Akshay confirmed that he is no more a part of the iconic Bollywood comedy. He said, 'The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the script. I have to do what people want to see. That is why, I backed out. I took a step behind. It is a part of my life and journey for me. I am also very sad that I can't do it. But I am not happy with how the creative things have shaped out.'
Hera Pheri was released in 2000 and its second installment Phir Hera Pheri came out in 2006. Both the movies did exceptionally well on the box office.
