Sunny Deol Wants To Work With Alia Bhatt, Says It Could Be Anything Like A Father-Daughter Role

Sunny Deol is currently soaring high on the success of his latest release, Gadar 2. The movie has shattered several box office records. It has become one of the fastest films to enter the 450 crore club. The actor has been busy promoting his film. In his recent interview, Sunny expressed his interest in working with Alia Bhatt.

Sunny Deol's father, Dharmendra, was seen sharing the screen for the first time with Alia Bhatt in Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani. He played Rocky Randhawa's (Ranveer Singh's) grandfather. Sunny has now said he likes the actress and her work a lot.

With Gadar 2, fans got to see Sunny Deol's iconic character, Tara Singh, make a comeback after almost two decades. Gadar 2 is a sequel to the iconic 2001 release, Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The movie also stars Ameesha Patel in the lead role.


In a recent interview, Sunny was asked about an actress he would like to collaborate with next. He mentioned Alia's name and also said this wouldn't be limited to a romantic pairing. He is even open to working with her in a father-daughter situation.

Expressing his admiration for Alia Bhatt, the actor said, 'I like Alia Bhatt a lot. It will be interesting to do a film with her. I'm not saying as hero-heroine or opposite (each other), I'm talking it could be anything like a daughter-father.'

It would be interesting to see two megastars of their own eras collaborate on the big screen.

On the work front

Sunny Deol is currently focusing on the success of Gadar 2. He has not revealed any of his upcoming projects.

As for Alia Bhatt, she is on cloud nine with her latest blockbuster, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. Her glorious Hollywood debut, Heart of Stones, has also become one of the most-watched movies on Netflix. The movie also stars Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan.

She will be seen next in Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
