It was a beautiful evening and the famous Bollywood stars gathered in Kolkata to attend the opening ceremony of the 28th edition of the Kolkata International Film Festival. The film festival commenced with Shah Rukh, Rani, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Mahesh Bhatt, Shatrughan Sinha, Kumar Sanu, Arijit Singh, and others in attendance.
Rani and Jaya Bachchan were also seen hugging each other. Videos from the ceremony have gone viral and it reminded fans of the lovely family they saw in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
Fans called it the 'Raichand Family Reunion'. Shah Rukh Khan was seen in a formal black suit and a white shirt whereas Rani looked gorgeous in a black saree. Shah Rukh and Rani greeted Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan and their video went viral.
One moment in particular that won hearts was when Shah Rukh Khan touched Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan's feet. Big B instantly hugged him at the event. The video has been curated by fan pages across social media. Sharing the clip, one Twitter user wrote, 'Reunion of Raichand family after 21 years,' while another social media user joked, 'Yash Raichand finally accepting Rahul coz he's with Naina.'Another Twitter user shared the video clip from the festival, and wrote,'21 years of #KabhiKhushiKabhieGham and Raichand family at #KIFF2022'.
